The innovaphone PBX is a powerful telephone system based entirely on Voice over IP. The components of the PBX can be freely combined and thus offer maximum flexibility for any telephony project.

The VoIP gateways have been optimized for stability and security. Using ISDN the gateways support between 2 and 120 channels. Various IP telephones are supplied in accordance to the application area – from premium system telephones to computer telephone software. Various IP adapters can be used to connect devices which are not VoIP compatible. IP-DECT has been developed especially to integrate cordless telephones. Cordless telephones are integrated into the PBX concept using DECT gateways, DECT base stations and repeaters. Several interfaces are available on the PBX to supplement the PBX with various software solutions. Thus seamless and easy use of database access, fax, CTI and unified messaging is therefore provided for all subscribers.

The innovaphone PBX is controlled by a software which works in the protected area of the VoIP gateway. The software manages the users and organises the connections both within the PBX and to other telephone networks. Furthermore a number of features are provided by the PBX software. The innovaphone PBX allows telephony landscapes to be provided which are on an equal to features provided by traditional PBXs. These telephony landscapes are also far superior in respect to flexibility and connection of PC applications using IP telephony.

Features
All general features are supported by the innovaphone PBX. These include hold, call waiting, call forward, call diversion, call waiting signal, pick-up, three-party conference call and call back on busy. In addition there are different waiting queues, automatic announcement before taking the call and music-on-hold.

Group features
PBX subscribers can be grouped together as necessary so that special configurations can be allocated or restricted in the groups.

Partner features
Partner feature is a collection of features which especially support the cooperation of certain subscribers. Partner features include two-way announcement, partner key, pick-up and partner busy indication, individual ringing tone, working with main secretary and second secretary, hot line for certain subscribers,call diversion override and Call interception override for authorised subscriber.

Scalability
The innovaphone gateways can be scaled from one ISDN base connection up to several primary multiplex connections. Free scalability enables the innovaphone PBX to be suitable for almost any size of company. The innovaphone PBX has especially elegant and risk-free solutions to convert telephone technology step-by-step using a migration path.

Smooth migration
Large savings can already be made when PBXs at different locations are simply linked over a data link which is already available. Even when there are no more free lines available in the current PBX, the gateway can be looped through to the trunk line. Calls which are more economical over IP can be filtered and diverted. Furthermore, the gateway can serve the additional IP terminals step-by-step. The IP terminals can be integrated independent of location and can take over and expand the features of the traditional PBX step-by-step. The efficiency of the new system is completed using innovaphone PBX software on the gateways. This soft migration/smooth ensures investment is optimised, risk involved in total replacement is reduced and investment costs are divided into smaller portions.
